Bathroom tiles

A bathroom is a place where it is often wet or damp. In addition, you often walk there with bare feet and not with dirty shoes. You can take this into account in your tile choice. It is very important to pay attention to the anti-slip value of the tiles. You don't want to slip on a wet floor.

The anti-slip value (R-value) indicates how much grip a tile has. The values ​​used range from 9 to 12, with 9 being the lowest value. The higher the value, the more grip the tile has. For bathrooms, R11 is usually used. However, for rooms where you walk barefoot, another anti-slip value applies, expressed as A, B, and C. Tiles in a supermarket

There are many things to look out for with tiles in a supermarket. The floor has to endure a lot: dirty shoes, shopping carts, heavy racks and products that fall apart. The tiles have to be able to withstand that, of course.

Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the wear resistance, among other things. The wear resistance of the surface of ceramic tiles is measured according to the PEI (Porcelaine Enamel Institute) standard. This standard measures which wear class a tile falls into and how well it resists scratching dirt. For supermarkets, PEI 4 applies: this is suitable for heavily trafficked areas. In addition to the wear resistance, scratch resistance, expressed in MOHS, is also important. This ranges from 1 to 10 and indicates the relative hardness of minerals, such as lime (1). Tiles in a car showroom

A showroom should radiate luxury, but at the same time needs a robust tile. The tiles should not be too slippery and should be easy to clean. Of course you can't see tire marks or oil and the floor must continue to shine.

It is therefore important here that the tiles have a good anti-slip value (R9/R10) and also a good wear value. Think PEI 4.

Tiles in the garden

Of course, you don't just lay any tile in the garden either. Ceramic garden tiles are best suited for the garden. have the great advantage that they are scratch-resistant, colour-fast, frost-free and dimensionally stable. They also do not absorb dirt or moisture. They are beautiful, stay beautiful and do not become slippery. It would be a shame if the tiles wear out quickly.
